Remember the experience of your first trip abroad?
I do! It was something out of a movie. And since then I’ve gone on to visit 14+ countries, on over 30 flights.
But one thing always stands out when I travel by air: the Airport Terminals. These large cities within cities always get me in that zen mode. I’m not saying they’ve been all fun, and hassle-free; but just the look and feel of these large halls and shops and the diverse mix of people and cultures always gets me in a great mode, whether I’m only transiting for a few minutes or a long layover – there’s always that “feeling”.
So now when I want to relive these memories, I usually go through my phone albums of my best curated shots taken from various angles and heights, but I noticed that I always came back to the soft overhead shots of these terminals. Whether it’s Schiphol in Amsterdam, Barajas in Madrid or the new Istanbul airport, these birds-eye view images have been my favourite.
I always wanted to replicate them; so when the opportunity came, I jumped on the power of Ai and reimagined how some of these large lounges would look like, and the results have been surreal. I hope you love them as much as I did creating them.
